Food Collages
I started creating Food Collages in 2020 after witnessing my mother harvesting medicine from her garden, something I’ve seen her do throughout my childhood. It was in that moment that I recognized that we, as black folks, understand how to work with food and the land, we just need to remember, and with that insight I wanted to simple show black folks surrounded by food and happy, something that is rarely portrayed in our everyday media.
