with a humid air that reminded me of my childhood walking along the beaches in florida

letting me know again that this was a familiar place

Food, particularly Haitian food, has always had a special place in my upbringing. Growing up in America as a child of Haitian immigrants my palette was introduced to a vast range of spice combinations and herbs very early on. I’ve always enjoyed watching the slow, steady care involved in preparing all the different dishes and it’s only now that food has found its way into my art practice.
